Concrete Slabs & Flatwork
Strong, level concrete surfaces for sheds, garages, workshops, and more.

What Is Concrete Flatwork
Flatwork refers to any horizontal concrete surface that is poured at ground level. This includes slabs for sheds, garage floors, workshop areas, storage pads, RV parking, equipment pads, and more. If you need a solid, level surface to support weight and handle daily use, concrete flatwork is the right choice.
At ACW Azusa Concrete Works, we pour concrete slabs that are built to handle whatever you throw at them. Whether you need a small pad for a garden shed or a large slab for a detached garage, we have the experience and equipment to get the job done right. Our slabs are properly reinforced, leveled, and finished to give you a surface that lasts for decades.
Common Uses for Concrete Slabs
Here are some of the most common projects we handle:
- Garage floors: A smooth, durable surface for parking vehicles and storing tools and equipment.
- Shed pads: A level base to keep your shed dry and prevent it from shifting or sinking.
- Workshop slabs: A clean, easy-to-maintain floor for woodworking, metalworking, or any hobby space.
- RV and boat parking: Heavy-duty slabs that support the weight of large vehicles without cracking.
- Equipment pads: Stable surfaces for generators, HVAC units, pool equipment, or other machinery.
- Storage areas: Flat, clean spaces for storing outdoor furniture, firewood, or building materials.
We also work on commercial flatwork projects like warehouse floors, loading docks, and industrial pads. Whatever you need, we can design and pour a slab that fits your requirements.
How We Build Slabs That Last
A concrete slab is only as good as the ground beneath it. We start every project by excavating the area and removing any soft soil, roots, or debris. Then we add a compacted gravel base that provides drainage and prevents settling. This step is critical because a poorly prepared base leads to cracks and uneven settling over time.
Next, we install forms to shape the slab and add rebar or wire mesh for reinforcement. This keeps the concrete from cracking under heavy loads. We pour the concrete to the right thickness for your needs, typically 4 inches for light use or 6 inches for heavy equipment and vehicles. Then we level, smooth, and finish the surface.
We also make sure your slab has proper drainage. Water that pools on or under concrete causes problems. We slope the slab slightly so water runs off, and we can add drainage channels if needed. After the pour, we let the concrete cure properly before you use it. This ensures it reaches full strength and lasts for years without issues.
When you hire ACW Azusa Concrete Works, you are getting a team that understands the details that make a difference. We do not cut corners. We use quality materials, follow proven techniques, and deliver slabs that perform. If you need a concrete slab for any purpose, we are here to help.
